1. Day 1

   Kathmandu to Monjo

   Fly Tenzing–Hillary. Walk Phakding to Monjo. Sleep below Namche so the night is kinder.

   1. 05:30

      Domestic terminal

      Weight check, weather call. If Lukla is closed you wait; that is the Khumbu.

   2. 09:00

      Phakding walk

      Suspension bridges, the river, a pace the guide sets. No racing to Namche today.

   3. 15:00

      Monjo teahouse

      Half board, oximeter, an early night. Namche is tomorrow.

2. Day 2

   Namche and the Everest View terrace

   Up to Namche, then the 07:00-line of peaks from the hotel terrace. Fly out if the weather holds.

      Climb to Namche

      The last hour is the one people remember. Slow is the instruction.

   2. 11:00

      Hotel Everest View

      Terrace. The mountain line. Photographs, then down before the cloud fills.

   3. 15:00

      Out, or a spare night

      Lukla weather decides. The spare day you packed is why this finishes happy.
