A quiet weekend in a Patan courtyard house
Stay inside the gali, walk to Krishna Mandir, and eat breakfast under the tulsi.
Patan’s heritage houses are still family homes. You take shoes off at the courtyard, you do not photograph the shrine without asking, and the best light is at 06:20 across the brick floor.
Book two nights. One is not enough to hear the temple bells twice and still make the museum before it fills.
